Nonparametric survival analysis

SURVSOFT was developed by the Bavarian Cancer Registry in order to provide an easy-to-use graphics-oriented software for the application of several methods of survival analysis:
Life table method (Cutler-Ederer)
Product-limit method (Kaplan-Meier)
Period analysis
Relative survival.

The authors integrated a user friendly program handling, a highly flexible data import and various design options for the chart output. Online help provides context-sensitive user assistance.

Standardized mortality ratio (SMR) and standardized incidence ratio (SIR)

In version 2.0 of the program, the computation of SMR/SIR was included based on calculation of exact person-years at risk stratified by sex, age and calendar time.
